Our Trio

Evans is very much a part of our family, but when he goes out of town I try to stay busy and keep him posted on our trio's whereabouts with photos, so I thought I'd share some of those on the blog. For a little updating, Jeanie is holding her head up more and more each day, Diddy witnessed a rollover from back to front, and if you hold her under her armpits, she looks mighty determined to take off and follow Van. Her smiles and coos are infectious! She is sleeping 6 pm- 6 am with one (sometimes two) feedings in between. More consistent sleep has been a blessing for us all.

Van is our entertainer. He makes us laugh daily and surprises us often with some pretty creative sentences. When I left his bedroom the other evening, he said "Hey mom, could you cut my clock on for me, please?" (The clock is a sound machine that he goes to sleep with each night).  I thought that was an impressively eloquent request for a 2.5 year old! He is a people-pleaser with a gentle soul. I worry about how best to toughen him up to prepare him for preschool next year. I try to teach him to stand up for himself and he says "its okay mama, Van's okay." He has clearly inherited his daddy's patience and grace.

I am surprised daily to realize how much I am enjoying parenting two children. Some of the tasks I used to consider to be monotonous, have now become simultaneous opportunities to teach, entertain, and be productive.

Here are some recommendations (thanks Jenna and Mary-Kathryn!) we enjoyed this weekend:
-Dinner at Market
-Chocoalate from Escazu
-Travelin' Mayhem at 42nd Street!

Music on the Porch -- Its family friendly!

-DIY Bubbles (via G-Mommy):
12 Cups of Water
3 Cups Dawn
1 Cup Karo Syrup

Have a great week!
