All Aboard!

This is my 200th post! And what an exciting time in our lives to blog. Yesterday Van and I spent an hour looking through the early posts of this blog, reflecting and chatting about life when he was a baby. He really enjoyed it.

One of the best things about having a baby is the fun visits from friends, family, and neighbors. We have seen so many wonderful friends this week and have loved spending time catching up with everyone. Thank you all for the gifts, meals, thoughts, advice, fellowship, encouragement, and prayers. We are very lucky and appreciative for all of the support we have received and continue to receive (and I'm working on some well-deserved thank-you notes!!).

According to Van (courtesy of his Thomas the Train alphabet book) "A" is for "All Aboard!" Given Van's love of trains and his great big brother behavior, Evans and I treated Van to a solo date to the train station for the Amtrak museum tour.

He's got a ticket to ride...

Some parts were a little creepy... (Snags, I took this shot for you...a shout out from the 1980s Amtrak service attire)

Overall, a pretty cool experience for a 2 year old fella...

While Van was on the train, Baby Jeans finally took a bottle from G-Mommy. This is wonderful news for her mommy and Evans and I can finally go on a date night soon!! She is sleeping in her crib and treating us pretty kindly at night (compared to earlier this week). She also made her church debut today to enjoy her honorary rosebud.

Happy 3 weeks little Jeans!
