Growing, Growing, Gone

I bumped into a friend at the pool yesterday who we had not seen in a few months. She saw Van and exclaimed: "WOW! He's a big boy!! He has changed so much!" That statement has fueled me to capture a snapshot of our lives at the moment--for which the title seems appropriate!

Every little inch these children grow makes me so proud because I am seeing how much nurturing and nourishment goes into every centimeter every day. It makes me feel proud to see the fruits of my labor blooming before my eyes.

We kicked off the summer with a few trips to the beach, Sydney's baby shower, and our trip to Vermont is around the corner. Van has been learning about music from around the world in his summer camp, practicing guitar, and playing in the sprinkler/pool/or ocean. Abe is about to take off, he is by far our strongest and most determined baby yet.  Jean-Margaret is my helpful, sweet-but feisty- little shadow, she loves to sing and I adore hearing her master the words to songs (in her own language). We have spent many days at the pool, park, long walks, or doing yard work!!   After being pregnant or breastfeeding for about the past 3/4 summers...it is an understatement to say I am ENJOYING the summertime!!
